Iran says US ‘not serious’ about new talks
Iran’s Foreign Ministry has dismissed the prospect of fresh negotiations with the United States, with spokesperson Esmail Baghaei declaring that Washington is “not serious” about dialogue and has failed to learn from past experience.
Speaking to local media, Baghaei said there are no plans for a new round of talks, stressing that American officials continue to issue accusations rather than engage constructively. “This game is ongoing instead of them playing a positive role. But we cannot expect the Americans to say the truth – they are always accusing us. It seems that America is not serious at all,” he remarked.
The comments underscore Tehran’s skepticism following the breakdown of recent ceasefire discussions, with Iranian officials warning that continued US pressure will not yield positive results.
