IndiGo Flight Safely Returns to Rajkot After Mid-Air Technical Issue

Rajkot: An IndiGo flight en route from Rajkot to Mumbai was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff on Monday, following what the airline described as a “technical issue” detected mid air. The aircraft returned safely to Rajkot Airport, and all passengers and crew were reported to be unharmed.

IndiGo said the pilot initiated emergency procedures as a precaution after noticing the anomaly. Airport authorities confirmed that emergency services were placed on standby, though the aircraft landed without further incident.

Passengers Safe, Aircraft Under Inspection

All passengers were safely disembarked and provided assistance at the terminal. IndiGo stated that engineers are conducting a detailed inspection of the aircraft to determine the cause of the issue.

The airline said passengers would be accommodated on another flight to Mumbai or offered alternative travel arrangements.
