Narcotic drugs inside a passenger’s bag
A drug known as "shabo" — a slang term for methamphetamine used in the Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Indonesia — is the latest contrabands to be seized by Qatar Customs in yet another foiled attempt to smuggle narcotic substances into the country.
The General Authority of Customs on Monday said its wing at the Hamad International Airport seized more than 7,000 grams of “shabo” and within a set of towels in a passenger's bag. Besides, 331.1 grams of hashish has also been recovered from the bag, GAC said.
