Emirates Introduces Unlimited Free Date Changes for Selected Dubai-Bound Fares

DUBAI — Emirates has introduced greater booking flexibility for passengers travelling to Dubai, allowing customers on selected Economy and Business Class fares to change their travel dates an unlimited number of times without paying a date-change fee.

The new measure took effect on August 10, 2026 and is designed to give travellers more freedom to adjust their plans. The policy applies to eligible fare types rather than every Emirates ticket, so passengers should check the conditions attached to their booking.

Unlimited Date Changes on Eligible Fares

Under the updated policy, qualifying Dubai-bound passengers can move their travel date repeatedly without being charged the usual change fee. This can be particularly useful for travellers whose schedules remain uncertain or who may need to postpone a trip more than once.

Fare Differences May Still Apply

A free date change does not necessarily mean that changing a flight will have no additional cost. If the newly selected flight is priced higher than the original booking, passengers may still have to pay the applicable fare difference or other amounts required by the ticket conditions.

Refund Fees Also Reduced

The airline has also reduced refund fees on applicable bookings as part of the wider flexibility measures, giving eligible passengers more options if they decide not to travel.

How Passengers Can Change Their Booking

Customers who booked directly with Emirates can retrieve their reservation through the airline’s Manage Your Booking service to check whether online changes are available. Passengers who purchased their ticket through a travel agent should contact that agent to make changes.

Check Your Fare Conditions Before Making Changes

Because eligibility depends on the fare purchased, travellers should review their ticket conditions before changing their itinerary. The airline’s booking system displays any applicable price difference before an eligible online change is confirmed.

The change gives eligible Economy and Business Class customers significantly more flexibility than a traditional ticket that permits only a limited number of complimentary changes.
