The Investment and Commerce Court has ruled in favor of the validity and enforceability of a sale contract for a residential unit in Lusail City, ordering the selling company and the real estate developer to complete all necessary procedures to transfer and register ownership of the unit in the buyer’s name.

The court’s decision came after it was established that the buyer had fulfilled all contractual obligations, including payment of the full purchase price and the required fees, while the sale agreement met all legal requirements.

Lawyer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Bou Matar, who represented the buyer, confirmed that his client had completed all obligations related to the purchase of the unit. However, despite the full payment and the passage of a significant period, the ownership transfer procedures had not been completed.

Lawyer Bou Matar explained that the payment of the full value of the property legally establishes the buyer’s right to have ownership transferred and registered. He noted that both the seller and the real estate developer are obligated to complete the necessary legal procedures, which was confirmed by the court in its ruling.

The judgment reinforces the buyer’s contractual rights and highlights the importance of fulfilling legal obligations in real estate transactions.
