Ras Laffan fire
As of 7:04 am on 19 March 2026, the Ministry of Interior has announced that its Civil Defense was able to bring all multiple fires that occurred at Ras Laffan Industrial Area due to multiple ballistic missile attacks by Iran under control.
The fire was brought under control with no injuries reported, it added.
The ministry added that cooling and site-securing operations are still in motion, as the Explosives Unit of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) is performing its tasks regarding hazardous materials.
Earlier the ministry had reported that before its teams were able to control the fires at 3:15 am, there was a "fire" in Ras Laffan Industrial Area as a result of an Iranian targeting and the Civil Defense is handling it.
At 5:12 am, the ministry said that two of three fires in the Ras Laffan Industrial Area were contained by the Civil Defence and no injuries were reported.
