Place Vendôme Mall
The 3-year-old Khalid Walid Besiso has passed away after sustaining injuries from falling at Place Vendôme. He fell from the 2nd floor at the newly-inaugurated mall, on May 15, 2022.
The news about the accident has been circulating on social media since last week and today, May 22, the child has reportedly succumbed to his wounds despite being rushed immediately to the hospital.
The Place Vendôme management has affirmed that it has been working closely with the authorities in charge of the investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident where a child was injured on its premises.
“We are working closely with the authorities in charge of the investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident," the mall management stressed.
"The Place Vendome management stands by the family of the child who was injured [on] the premises. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and wish the child a fast recovery,” Place Vendôme said in a statement.
"We remain diligent in our commitment to providing a safe environment in accordance with the highest international standards,” it added.
Regarding the safety measures, the management noted that: “The safety of our visitors is of utmost importance as we operate in compliance with the relevant authorities’ approvals.”
