Major ministries, the countries’ stakeholders and local dignitaries are to be expected to attend the ceremony and ribbon cutting of Build Your House Exhibition 2022, which will be inaugurated by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani on 28th March at Qatar National Convention Centre. Qatari homebuilders can look forward to attending the dynamic three-day event (28-30th March), held under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz al Thani.

Mr. Mohammad Ali Al-Mohannadi, Public Relations and Communication Manager at Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation “Kahramaa” expressed the significance of this exhibition, saying: “Build Your House Exhibition is one of the most important events supporting the national economy by creating a common space for various entities working in the field of building and construction uniting the efforts of government and private companies to serve the Qatari community.” 
 
He added: "Kahramaa's participation in this edition of Build Your House exhibition as a sustainability partner, is a prolongation of our fruitful engagement in the previous editions, and a form of our constant support. A team of experts and engineers from the Kahramaa will present modern ways to secure and protect the house by avoiding short circuits across all internal and external electrical installations. The team in the booth will also provide advice on inspecting the water installations to avoid any damages that might happen because of water leakage in the house.”  
 
BYH Exhibition is considered a crucial link between companies in residential design and building industry and Qatari citizens who wish to build or modernize their homes. Guests can visit over 150 exhibitors from five main sectors: Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers, General Services, and Smart Solutions. They can also enjoy two large country pavilions from Turkey and Portugal, featuring exhibitors keen to introduce their high-quality products and services to Qatar and the Middle East market. These pavilions will showcase a wide range of high-quality building products and materials such as aluminium, cable protection, hardwood flooring, suspended ceilings, and roof systems, along with award-winning furniture, upholstery, and home textiles from well-reputed brands.
 
Attendees can also collect crucial information from BYH Exhibition’s Knowledge Sharing Conference and Future and Smart Living Conference. Running over the course of the three-day event the Knowledge Sharing Conference introduces practical insights and inspirational topics about design concepts, construction phases, licensing steps, implementation, and finishes, as well as smart technologies and sustainable living environment for building modern homes. Visitors can look forward to talks by architects, interior designers, professors, and academics from Qatar University, VCU Qatar, Jotun, Bluu Design, We Do Design, Design House Interiors, Arab Engineering Bureau, and local government entities.

Seeking to nurture future design talent, BYH Exhibition 2022 will continue to host its annual Junior Design Competition in collaboration with VCUarts Qatar, in which 10 students will submit their design and 3 winners will be selected and receive their awards at the conference stage. 
 
Speaking about the design competition, Dr. Haithem A. El-Hammali, Assistant Professor Interior Design, Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar, said: “On behalf of VCUarts Qatar, the Department of Interior Design is pleased to retake participation in the third edition of the Build Your House exhibition. And we are committed to being a part of the exhibition for years to come. The Build Your House exhibition offers valuable insight into the building and interior design industry's current demands and trends and highlights various opportunities. Opportunities for our students to be aware of multiple products and services offered by the industry and attending the exhibition is the perfect way to meet and mingle with other professionals, which allow our students to network with firms and companies and build professional relationships through exchanging ideas and knowledge. This event allows students to constantly develop and perfect their practices with new knowledge and ideas.”
 
Visitors can take reassurance from the stringent processes that BYHE and Hygiene partners, Boecker, BYH Exhibition are following to adhere to Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) regulations and also ensure that the venue is sanitized twice each day. 
 
Representing Boecker, Carla Ghaleb, Country Manager, said: “Boecker has more than 15 years of experience in the disinfection field for public and private places. Our team of highly trained technicians will be performing disinfection services throughout the duration of the exhibition, following all the safety standards, and using the latest equipment, to ensure the safety of the visitors, exhibitors, and organizers. In addition to that, our consultants will be performing audits to make sure that all guidelines set by the Ministry of Public Health are being followed and maintained.”
 
Participants and visitors’ health status via the Ehteraz app will be checked before being allowed inside, and mask-wearing will be reinforced. Visitors will also have to pre-register to attend the event, via the visitor portal, which is now open, enabling the event organizers to monitor the capacity of the exhibition halls.
