Attorneys' Admission Committee meeting held under Minister of Justice's chairmanship

The Attorneys' Admission Committee has held a meeting under the chairmanship of Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi to discuss the items on its agenda.

During the meeting, three new lawyers took the legal oath before the committee after completing their required training period.

The committee reviewed applications from several professionals with equivalent experience seeking registration in the roll of practising lawyers, as well as applications to register lawyers in the trainee lawyers' roll.

It also considered requests from three candidates to complete their training period and qualify to practise law, and approved the transfer of two lawyers from the non-practising roll to the practising roll.

In addition, the committee reviewed applications to transfer lawyers to the roll of practising lawyers eligible to appear before the Court of Appeal and the Court of Cassation.

Based at the Ministry of Justice, the Attorneys' Admission Committee oversees the registration and admission of lawyers and the regulation of legal practice in Qatar.
