Doha, October 20, 2026 : Media City Qatar has announced its preparations to host CNN’s Global Perspectives: In Doha, which begins on October 29, marking the event’s first edition in the Middle East and Gulf region.
Organized by CNN in partnership with Media City Qatar, the event will bring together global voices and regional perspectives to discuss key issues shaping the world.
Speaking at a press conference in Doha, Media City Qatar CEO Hamad Omar Al Mannai said the event aims to bring international voices to the region while helping regional perspectives reach wider global audiences through CNN’s platforms.
He highlighted Qatar’s role as a trusted international mediator and a hub for dialogue between regions, cultures and viewpoints, noting that the event aligns with the country’s growing role in global discussions.
CNN Group Senior Vice President, GM APAC and Global Head of Productions Ellana Lee said the event would provide a platform for people with different perspectives to exchange ideas and engage in meaningful dialogue.
She described the Doha edition as CNN’s first Global Perspectives event in the Middle East, emphasizing the value of bringing people together to discuss ideas and developments shaping the world.
CNN anchors and correspondents will moderate in-depth discussions covering major issues across artificial intelligence, economics, energy, sport and culture, examining the trends and changes influencing the global landscape.
