Doha, November 04, 2026 : Media City Qatar has partnered with internationally renowned publishing house Assouline to produce a collection of luxury books highlighting Doha's history, cultural identity, landmarks and urban development.
Set for release over the coming months, the publications will explore significant places, institutions and milestones that have helped shape the city. Through stories of the people, ideas and achievements behind them, the collection aims to offer readers in Qatar and internationally a closer look at Doha's growth and transformation.
CEO of Media City Qatar Hamad Omar Al Mannai said the initiative reflects the organisation's commitment to supporting content that showcases Qatar's achievements, history and culture. He noted that the books would provide an opportunity to share Doha's distinctive stories with audiences worldwide.
One of the titles will focus on Doha's urban transformation and cultural character, tracing the landmarks and defining moments behind the city's identity and its development as a destination connecting Qatar with the world.
Another publication will mark Qatar University's 50-year journey, highlighting its contributions to national development and the people, breakthroughs and achievements that have shaped its impact locally and internationally.
A further title will document the transformation of the former Ministry of Interior building, following its journey from a government facility to a preserved and repurposed landmark. The building is now home to The Ned Doha and serves as a community destination.
The partnership adds to Media City Qatar's expanding portfolio of international collaborations and initiatives aimed at supporting the creative sector and presenting stories from Qatar and the wider region to global audiences.
