Amir issues Amiri Decision reconstituting Qatar National Library Board of Trustees

The Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has issued Amiri Decision No. 32 of 2026 reconstituting the Board of Trustees of Qatar National Library (QNL).

Under the decision, issued on Tuesday, the board will be chaired by HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, with HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani serving as Vice-Chairman.

The board's members are HE Dr Sheikha bint Abdullah Al Misnad, Secretary-General of the Qatar National Archives; Dr Hassan Rashid Al Derham, Vice-President of Qatar University for Research and Innovation; and a representative of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to be chosen by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology in coordination with the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.

The decision takes effect from its date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.
