Al Wakrah fell short in the Qatar-UAE Challenge Cup, losing 5-4 on penalties to Al Wahda at Abu Dhabi’s Al Nahyan Stadium. Despite taking an early lead through Aissa Laidouni, the Qatari side couldn’t hold off a comeback led by Al Wahda's Omar Kharbin. Veteran goalkeeper Saoud Mubarak shone with key saves, but a late gamble to switch goalkeepers backfired. Missed penalties by Laidouni and Almahdi Ali sealed Al Wakrah’s fate, leaving Qatari teams winless in the Super Cup series.
