Visitors to Qatar have increased over 400% annually

According to information on the Planning and Statistical Authority (PSA) website, Qatar received almost 389,000 foreign tourists overall in February 2023, an increase of 406.3% annually and 14.3% from the same month the previous year.

According to official statistics, visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council accounted for the majority of visitors (38%) while travelers from Europe lagged behind at 31%. In terms of port type, air travelers made up the biggest share (44%).

Only a few months have passed since Qatar hosted the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which gave millions of people around the world the chance to see the nation and its culture.

It also occurs during the busiest travel period, when Qatar's temperatures hover at a constant cold before rising sharply in the summer.
