The United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms the renewed hostile attacks by Iran targeting the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with missiles and drones.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed that these aggressive attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the brotherly nations and a threat to their security and stability.

Full Solidarity With Targeted Nations

The Ministry reiterated the UAE's full solidarity with Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, and its support for all measures aimed at safeguarding their security and stability. In earlier statements condemning the same wave of attacks, the UAE extended its solidarity to the Sultanate of Oman as well, framing the strikes across the region as a sustained pattern of aggression rather than isolated incidents.

The condemnation was one of a series issued by Abu Dhabi in recent days as Iranian missile and drone attacks repeatedly targeted its Gulf neighbours and Jordan, amid the broader conflict between the United States and Iran centred on the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Attacks Across the Region

The renewed attacks have struck a widening arc of countries not directly party to the core conflict. In Qatar, the armed forces intercepted a number of aerial attacks, with the Ministry of Interior confirming that a child was injured by falling shrapnel resulting from the interception operations. Kuwait's air defences intercepted a series of missiles and drones, including dozens of hostile drones that entered its airspace, while Bahrain, home to the US Navy's Fifth Fleet, activated warning sirens as Iran's military claimed it had targeted US assets there. Jordan's armed forces likewise reported intercepting missiles that entered its airspace from Iranian territory.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a number of the strikes, framing them as retaliation for US airstrikes on Iranian positions and describing the targets as US-linked military installations across the region.

A Broader Wave of Condemnation

The UAE's statements form part of a wider chorus of regional and international condemnation of the attacks on Gulf states. The Gulf Cooperation Council, along with individual member states, has repeatedly denounced the strikes as violations of international law, while the Arab Parliament separately criticised Iranian attacks on UAE-flagged tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Abu Dhabi has consistently called for collective security measures and de-escalation, stressing that the security of the Gulf states is indivisible.

The UAE had earlier condemned Iranian attacks on its own national oil tankers, the Mombasa and Al Bahiyah, which were struck while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, describing them as a serious violation of the safety of international navigation and a threat to global energy supplies.
