Two Bodies Recovered from Al-Zeitoun Neighborhood in Eastern Gaza City

GAZA CITY - The bodies of two Palestinians were recovered from the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in the east of Gaza City, according to Palestinian civil defense and medical sources, in an area that has endured repeated Israeli operations and remains difficult for rescue teams to reach. A neighborhood under repeated assault

The deaths add to a toll that has continued to climb despite a ceasefire that took effect in October 2025. Palestinian officials say Israeli forces have repeatedly breached the truce with strikes and gunfire; Gaza’s Health Ministry has recorded well over a thousand people killed since it began, a figure that includes hundreds of bodies retrieved from destroyed areas as access has opened up.

Under the current arrangement, Israeli forces hold positions along a demarcation Israel calls the “yellow line,” and Palestinian residents say the military has continued to advance in places, expanding areas under its control and restricting movement.
