Traffic authorities honour security personnel

The Traffic Awareness Department of the General Directorate of Traffic has honoured two security guards for their efforts in regulating traffic and raising traffic awareness.

Abu Bakr Saeed Bui and Abu Bakr Ali Muhammad were honoured for their efforts in regulating traffic at the area around Lycee Bonaparte School in Dafna.

Recently, a video of a security guard delightfully greeting people crossing a road in Qatar has gone viral.

This video posted on the Twitter handle, @WameDoha, shows a guard near a school in Qatar spreading cheers as he stops vehicles for pedestrians, including children, to cross the street. Calling the guard "Mr Sunshine", @WameDoha said, "These are the people who, when you see them from afar, give you a smile.
