Beats and Tunes, after a gap of almost two years, is back in a new avatar now â Beats Tunes and Beyond (BTB) with an exciting musical presentation RAAG-ANURAAG. Hindustani vocal concert slated for April 11, 2026 at Al Thuraya Hall Pullman Hotel in Doha.
The big draw of the evening is a performance by Kaushiki Chakraborty, one of the most widely respected names in Indian classical music today. Coming back to Qatar after (14) years, just having her here makes it exceptional. An artist renowned for her commanding yet subtle vocal prowess, Kaushiki balances age-old tradition with a modern stylization that makes the world of classical music feel approachable and transportive to audiences of all backgrounds.
With numerous awards to her creditâthe BBC Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music, the GIMA Award, the Nari Shakti Puraskar and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardâher accolades embody her contribution towards enriching music.
To deepen the performance, Kaushiki will be supported by a stellar lineup of musicians:
Ojas Adhiya on Tabla
Jyotirmoy Banerjee on Harmonium
Murad Ali on Sarangi
And in unison, they will build a lush surrealistic stream that highlights both the aesthetic and elaborate features of Hindustani classical.
