Qatar's Cybersecurity Agency recommends updating Apple devices

Following the recent revelation of severe gaps in Apple's system, Qatar's National Cybersecurity Agency recommends updating systems used in Apple devices to iOS 15.6.1 to avoid any security concerns or potential threats.

Apple said on Wednesday that "there are serious security vulnerabilities for iPhones, iPads, and Macs that could potentially allow attackers to take complete control of these devices."

The National Cybersecurity Agency stated on social media that Apple published fixes to address these issues.

Apple has recommended an update for these versions:

Safari 15.6.1
macOS Big Sur
macOS Catalina
watchOS 8.7.1
Apple Watch Series3
IOS 15.6.1 - iPad 15.6.1
iPhone6s and later models
iPad Pro (all models)
iPad Air 2
iPad 5th generation
iPad mini 4
iPod touch (7th generation)
macOS Monterey 12.5.1
macOS Monterey

Security experts advise everyone to update any Apple devices they possess as soon as possible since, "a hacker could wrest total control of Apple devices, allowing the intruder to impersonate the true owner and run any software in their name."
