The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, has launched the Digital Transformation Program under Qatar's Government Scholarship Plan for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The initiative aims to develop a new generation of digital professionals and future leaders capable of driving Qatar's digital transformation agenda while supporting the country's strategic technology and innovation goals.

Speaking at a press conference, Dr. Hareb Mohammed Al Jabri, Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Affairs at MOEHE, described the program as a major milestone in the evolution of Qatar's scholarship system.
He explained that the initiative creates a complete pathway for students, starting from secondary education and continuing through university studies, professional training, employment, and long-term career development.

One of the program's most distinctive features is its "scholarship ending with employment" model.
Under this approach, students will pursue academic disciplines aligned with national priorities while benefiting from structured career pathways and employment opportunities upon graduation.

Students accepted into approved top-ranked international universities can receive:
• Monthly stipends of up to QR 20,000
• Two annual business-class travel tickets

• Pre-departure allowances of up to QR 40,000
• Academic excellence rewards and incentives
Benefits for Engineering, Science, and Technology Students
Eligible students studying approved programs will receive:
• Monthly allowances of up to QR 14,000
• Annual travel tickets
• Pre-departure support of up to QR 25,000
• Guaranteed employment after graduation
Support for Domestic Scholarship Students
Students studying at approved local universities, including Education City institutions and other universities offering digital transformation and advanced technology programs, will benefit from:
• Monthly stipends
• Full tuition coverage
• Access to specialized technology-focused academic programs
Eligibility Requirements
Students applying for the Digital Transformation Program must meet the requirements of Qatar's Government Scholarship Plan.
Main Eligibility Criteria
• Minimum secondary school average of 80 percent for scientific and technology-track students
• Humanities students may apply through an academic bridging program
• Applicants must satisfy university admission requirements
• Overseas scholarship applicants must secure final unconditional admission from an approved institution
