On 6 April 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the Israeli Minister of National Security storming into Al Aqsa Mosque.

Qatar Condemns Israeli Minister of National Security's Provocative Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque Under Protection of Occupation PoliceDoha — The State of Qatar condemns the storming of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli Minister of National Security, under protection from occupation police, adding that it constitutes a flagrant violation to international humanitarian law and provocation to feelings of Muslims around the world.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asserts that the State of Qatar completely rejects any attempts to undermine the religious and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque, while also reiterating the need for the international community to carry out its moral and legal responsibilities regarding Jerusalem and its sanctities, and to stand firm against repeated Israeli violations.

The Ministry: "State of Qatar reaffirms its firm and solid stance towards the justness of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly people, most importantly their full right to perform their religious rituals without any restrictions or obstacles, and establishing their independent state on borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital."
