Qatar and Saudi Arabia Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Ceasefire Efforts
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al‑Thani held a telephone conversation with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al‑Saud to review bilateral relations and regional developments.
The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, underscoring the importance of consolidating ties across political, economic, and security fields.
Talks also focused on regional dynamics, particularly efforts related to a ceasefire between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at easing tensions and reinforcing regional stability.
During the call, HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need for all parties to respond positively to mediation efforts, emphasizing dialogue and peaceful means as the path to addressing the root causes of the crisis. He noted that such efforts are essential to achieving a sustainable agreement that would prevent renewed escalation in the region.
