Qatar Customs seizes 80 narcotic capsules from a traveler's stomach

Customs officials at Hamad International Airport intercepted an attempt to smuggle narcotics into Qatar.

Upon arousing suspicion, a traveler entering the country was directed for a medical examination by a customs inspector.

As a consequence, authorities confiscated 81 coated capsules discovered within the traveler's stomach, containing 376 grams of heroin and 107 grams of shabu.

The customs authority has issued repeated warnings about the importation of illicit goods into Qatar.
