Qatar Charity Provides Urgent Relief in Albania
Qatar Charity has announced the provision of urgent humanitarian aid to support families affected by severe flooding in Durres and Kurbin regions of Albania, following days of heavy rainfall that caused widespread damage to property and infrastructure.
According to a statement issued on Saturday, Qatar Charity's office in Albania acted immediately after the disaster, coordinating with local authorities to assess the most urgent humanitarian needs and identify the hardest-hit areas.
The relief effort included the distribution of 1,800 food baskets containing essential supplies, benefiting approximately 16,500 people, including more than 700 orphans and needy families sponsored by Qatar Charity.
This initiative reflects Qatar Charity's ongoing commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by affected families, promoting humanitarian solidarity during crises, and demonstrating effective partnership with official authorities in Albania to serve the most vulnerable communities.
