Qatar Basketball Federation
On 23 March 2026, the Qatar Basketball Federation announced that it would return to local competitions after having been suspended due to current circumstances in the region. The move is part of efforts to gradually reintroduce domestic sporting activity and complete the 2025–2026 season in an orderly fashion.
The Federation confirmed that it arrived at the decision to restore competitions after closely observing the developments for a prolonged period and contributing to securing the safe return of sporting activity, enabling clubs and players alike to meet their overdue commitments to domestic tournaments.
In this context, on Thursday, March 12, 2026 the Competitions Committee will carry out a coordination meeting at the Federation’s headquarters regarding technical and organization work for making games return to normal.
The group will review the match calendar, set new dates for forthcoming fixtures and discuss how best to coordinate the remaining rounds so that competitions can conclude on the road.
