Qatar Charity (QC) distributed aid to those affected by the floods in Pakistan and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Pakistani hospital.

QC said in a statement that its delegation included the Director of the International Programs and Development Department Abdulaziz Jassim Hejji and CEO Adviser Jassim Abdullah Al Jassim paid an inspection visit to a number of projects implemented by QC in Jhang, Punjab, as well as witnessed the process of food packages distribution to vulnerable flood-affected communities in the Jhang District in Punjab to alleviate their suffering and contribute to meeting their needs, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.

QC added that among the projects visited were mosques, WASH, solar-powered water stations, healthcare centers, and income generating projects.

The delegation also paid a visit to Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital in the district of Rawalpindi in Punjab where an MoU was signed by QC and the hospital regarding the treatment of 300 patients suffering from cataract disease. This treatment will be provided to the neediest patients free of cost, with QC funding this project for a year.

Additionally, the delegation interacted with orphans sponsored by QC and attended an Iftar program with them in Islamabad within the framework of the "Ramadan: Leave Your Mark" campaign. Gifts were distributed to the sponsored who expressed their happiness with meeting the delegation and the activities held as part of the Iftar program, which included sports and other activities.
