Preparations for Expo 2023 in Doha Have Been Completed

Commissioner Generals representing the participating nations in Expo 2023 Doha convened in Doha to conclude preparations and coordination for the upcoming international event.

This gathering underscored the global commitment to ensuring the success of the first A1 horticultural exhibition in the MENA region. Discussions at the meeting focused on fostering cooperation and partnerships in anticipation of Expo 2023 Doha. Topics covered included organizational aspects such as sponsorship activation, volunteer engagement, zone operations, site services, and sustainability initiatives.

H.E. Bader Al Dafa, Commissioner General of Expo 2023 Doha, emphasized the importance of the International Participants Meeting during his address at the ceremony. Mohamed Ali Al Khoury, Secretary-General of Expo 2023 Doha, highlighted the increased international participation as a testament to the dedication of participants worldwide to the success of this unique horticultural exhibition, set in the arid climate of the GCC and North Africa.

Al Khoury also noted that Expo Doha 2023's core themes—modern agriculture, technology and innovation, environmental consciousness, and sustainability—are explored through a wide range of events and innovative marketing approaches.

Expo Doha 2023, situated in Al Bidda Park, covers an expansive 1.7 million square meters, with a picturesque view of the Arabian Gulf. It is scheduled to run for 179 days from October 2, 2023, to March 28, 2024, with an aim to attract over 3 million visitors. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore ornamental gardens, participate in public debates, conferences, live performances, and enjoy art and culinary showcases in dedicated areas.The event aligns with the sustainability goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
