Philippines adds more countries to Covid-19 'green' list By - October 20, 2021

THE Philippine government has revised the list of "green" countries or those with low risk of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) following its decision to ease the testing and quarantine protocols for arriving passengers, Malacañang said on Friday.

Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. said that the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) revised the roster of "red, yellow, and green" countries and jurisdictions during its meeting on Thursday.

In a statement, Roque said Romania was the only country that has been included in the "red list" or classified as high risk for Covid-19.

On the other hand, Roque said that there were around 49 states and jurisdictions on the "green list".

Included in the green list are :Algeria, American Samoa, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Chad, China (Mainland), Comoros, Republic of the Congo, Cook Islands, Eritrea, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), Gibraltar, Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of China), Kiribati, Madagascar, Mali, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Montserrat, Nauru, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Niger, Niue, North Korea, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Poland, Saba (Special Municipality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands), Saint Helena, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Sint Eustatius, Solomon Islands, Sudan, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Tokelau, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu and Yemen.
