OIC Condemns Recent Events in Niger, Calls for Security and Stability

JEDDAH, August 31, 2026: The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the recent events in Niger and rejected any actions that could undermine the country's security and stability.

The OIC said its Secretary-General, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, followed with concern the events that took place in Niamey, the capital of the Republic of Niger, on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
