Ministry of Municipality and Environment
The permanent committee for farms and organizing farmers' affairs at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) announced its desire to purchase dates from Qatari farm owners for the 2021 season.
In a statement, the committee called on those wishing to sell their dates to apply to the committee's secretariat at the Agricultural Affairs Department in the agricultural sector building in Al Salata, by November 1.
The committee stated the technical specifications for the supply of dates for this season, including that they are identical to the variety in terms of shape, color, taste and in the stage of full maturity, identical in color and shape and homogeneous in size. It added that the dates should be free from pesticide, fungicide residues, chemical odors, produced and carefully equipped to ensure that they are free of insect pests, appearance defects and external distortions while receiving them in plastic boxes and packing bags dedicated to food preservation, which will be provided to supplier farmers.
