Moderate to heavy rain, thunderstorms expected in Qatar on 26 & 27 March 2026

A deepening surface low-pressure system in the region resulted in forecasts on 25 March 2026 by the Qatar Meteorology Department of unstable weather conditions throughout Qatar.

Weather Forecast: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a few thunderstorms expected on 26 and 27 March 2026 (Thursday and Friday respectively). Rainfall amounts can be moderate to heavy.

Officials have warned that strong downdrafts, low horizontal visibility — especially in open areas — and hail are also possible.
