Ministry arrests one for stealing from unlocked cars

The Criminal Investigation Department arrested a man

The Criminal Investigation Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation arrested one person from an Asian country for stealing items from cars in different parts of the country.

As the Department received many complaints regarding thefts of valuable from cars,  a specialized team was formed immediately. The accused was held by intensifying the search and investigation, and he confessed to the charges during interrogation. He used to steal from cars, especially from unlocked vehicles. The stolen items were seized from the accused, and he is being referred to the competent authorities to take further legal procedures against him.

The competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior called on the public to take the necessary preventive measures to secure vehicles from theft by following safety instructions such as locking cars properly, not leaving valuables visible inside the vehicle, and avoiding parking vehicles in uninhabited places. The authorities also urge the public to report suspicious cases by calling the emergency phone 999.
