MOCI inspection campaigns ensure compliance, consumer protection, and market stability

Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has conducted 49,756 emergency inspections from February 28 to March 22, 2026, issuing 80 violations and shutting down 2 commercial enterprises. The ministry continues to monitor markets around the clock to ensure compliance and consumer protection.

A total of 318 inspectors, in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality, carried out surveillance inspections to verify prices, availability of key commodities, and market stability.

MOCI also received 408 complaints during the period and responded within 24 hours, taking legal action against offenders when necessary. Officials reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to fair commerce, market sustainability, and protecting consumer rights.
