The date carries special meaning - it marks both the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare, whose works profoundly shaped modern English. Shakespeare introduced hundreds of words and expressions that remain in everyday use, making him a cornerstone of the language’s evolution.

English today connects over 1.5 billion speakers worldwide, serving as a bridge across cultures and nations. It dominates international communication, academic publishing, and global media, reinforcing its importance as a tool for unity and understanding.
