Home Delivery Charge for of HMC and PHCC Medication by Qatar Post reduced to QR20

Qatar Post, in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) and the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), has reduced its delivery fee from QR30 to QR20 for the home Delivery Service related to medications, medical reports, medical consumables and dietary products.

The service was launched on April 2020 as a response to the pandemic but continued thanks to positive feedback from patients and so far more than 400,000 medication deliveries have been made to HMC patients and almost 200,000 medication deliveries to PHCC patients using the service. The reduced fee will be in place until the end of the year.

To access the HMC medication home delivery service, patients should call 16000 between 8 am to 2 pm daily from Sunday to Thursday. To access the PHCC medication home delivery service patients can call the assigned medication home delivery service number for their health center or 16000 for more information.

To access PHCC medication home delivery service, patients can also send a message to the WhatsApp number assigned to their health center. They can find the WhatsApp number in this link.

HMC and PHCC patients must have a valid health card, a card to pay for the medications and delivery fee as well as know their house and street address.
Qatar Post is the delivery agent taking care of this service. All Qatar Post drivers are adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and have been specially trained to handle medications, including those that require refrigeration and special handling.

Dr. Moza Al Hail, Executive Director of HMC’s Pharmacy Department said the reduction of the fee to QR20 would make the service more accessible to patients.

We would like to thank Qatar Post for their continued support and encourage our patients to utilize this great service.”

Dr. Manal AlZaidan , Director of PHCC Pharmacy department said: “We appreciate the support provided from Q post and accepting the community’s request to reduce the Medication home delivery charges . this will certainly make the service more accessible to our community especially during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. It will also support reducing the volume of patients visiting PHCC health centers pharmacies and will further prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection .”
