HMC
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has been recognized as the top performer in the healthcare sector during Qatarâs 12th National Cyber Drill, a distinction that highlights its advanced capabilities in cybersecurity resilience and patient data protection.
The National Cyber Drill, organized annually by the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), is one of the regionâs most prominent initiatives for strengthening cyber resilience. The 2025 edition carried the theme âCross Border Attacksâ and brought together 21 countries, 198 organizations, and more than 1,800 participants across 13 national sectors.
The exercise featured both technical and management simulation tracks, replicating complex, realâworld cyberattack scenarios. Teams were required to respond to realâtime injects under strict time constraints, testing their ability to detect, contain, and remediate threats, while management groups were assessed on their application of national cybersecurity frameworks and governance policies.
HMCâs success reflects its strong organizational culture of cybersecurity awareness, reinforced through regular training, simulated drills, and continuous awareness campaigns. The corporation has emphasized vigilance and accountability across its workforce, ensuring resilience and consistently upholding high standards of information security.
The award was formally presented at NCSA headquarters on April 15, 2026. Dr. Amal Gomaa Abdulla, Chief Information Officer at HMC, accepted the honor on behalf of the corporation from NCSA President Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali AlâFarahid AlâMalki. The recognition underscores HMCâs role in supporting Qatarâs national cybersecurity strategy and protecting critical healthcare systems.
