HIA is listed among the most bustling international airports of 2023

In 2023, Hamad International Airport (DOH) is listed among the world's busiest international airports.

OAG, a prominent data platform in the global travel industry, unveiled the Top 10 Busiest International Airports of 2023. Hamad International Airport from Qatar secured the ninth position this year, with a seat capacity of 28,668,040. As per OAG, this ranking was determined exclusively by international airline capacity.

 The rankings are determined by the scheduled one-way airline capacity for 2023, according to the statement. The annual list also makes comparisons between historical capacity data from 2019 to 2022. 

Dubai International Airport (DXB) retained the top position on the list for the third consecutive year, boasting 56,504,042 seats. It was succeeded by London Heathrow Airport, Amsterdam Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Singapore Changi Airport, among others.

This achievement marks the most recent accolade for Hamad International Airport, which was recently honored as the “Best Airport in the Middle East” for an impressive seventh consecutive year.
