Government school registration & transfer opens online from 25 Aug - 1 Oct 2026 for all nationalitie

DOHA, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that electronic registration and school transfers for students of all nationalities for the 2026–2027 academic year will open on August 25, 2026, and remain available until October 1, 2026.

Registration Available Through Maaref Portal

Parents and guardians can complete registration and transfer procedures online through the Ministry’s Maaref Public Services Portal, making it easier for families to apply without visiting schools in person.

Open to Students of All Nationalities

The registration window applies to students of all nationalities seeking admission or transfers to Qatar’s public schools. The Ministry had previously announced a phased registration schedule, with the August 25–October 1 period serving as the broader online enrolment window for the new academic year.

Parents Urged to Complete Applications on Time

Families are encouraged to submit their applications within the specified period to ensure that registration and transfer procedures are completed ahead of the academic year. The latest announcement is part of the Ministry’s preparations to ensure public schools are ready to accommodate students for 2026–27.
