Friendship Tree Planted during Rawdat Al Khail Park Opening

HE the Minister of Municipality Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie with Mr. Mike Purzycki

HE the Minister of Municipality Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie and the mayor of Wilmington – Delaware, in the US Mr. Mike Purzycki, jointly participated in the planting of a “friendship tree” between Doha and Wilmington at the Newley opened Rawdat Al Khail Park.

HE the Minister of Municipality Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie and other officials and dignitaries were present during the tree planting on Sunday. 
The “friendship tree” comes as the two friendly nations represented by the City of Doha and Wilmington’s develop and strengthen their co-operation in common areas of interest. 
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two cities, aimed at exchanging experiences in various fields.

According to HE the Minster of Municipality, Qatar is executing lots of efforts to expand and increase the number of green areas and plant trees, this includes the launch of the initiative to plant 1mn trees, which comes as a part of its support for international efforts to enhance environmental sustainability, tackling the issue of climate change, and providing a healthy green environment for everyone in Qatar.
