Classical Arabesque: A Symphony Beyond Borders

Classical Arabesque, which will take place on 14 February 2026 in Katara Cultural Village Opera House will provide a unique orchestral performance connecting two rich musical cultures. Under the direction of Ghady Rahbani and Omar Rahbany and the music of Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, the concert restores the Western classical forms provided with the tonal richness of Arabic maqams, quarter-tone and complex regional rhythms. Instead of a mere fusion the performance transforms musical language itself, it enables Eastern and Western to engage in a respectful dialogue. In two acts each spanning around 1 hour and 20 minutes, it can be anticipated that these include sweeping passages of symphonic music as well as emotional melodic phrasing. The event is open to all visitors aged 6 or older, as well as centers on artistic luxury and cultural experience with a reference to a stylish interior of Katara Opera House.
