DICID Organizes Volunteering Training Course with 100 Participants By Qatar Day - September 01, 2021

Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID), in cooperation with the Scout and Guide Association of Qatar, organized a training course on volunteering and giving, as a framework to enhance the active role of youth in building societies, developing their capabilities, and highlighting the value of volunteer work and giving to them.

The training course, in which more than 100 trainees participated, dealt with various topics related to volunteering, such as: enhancing the capacity of the effective volunteer, accepting others of different cultures and religions, as well as rooting the culture of give-and-take and mutual exchange, as well as how to lead volunteer projects.

This course, presented by trainer Fatima Abdul Aziz Al Harami, is the sixth held by DICID through its community participation in training youth and school students.

HE Chairman of DICID and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Al Nuaimi said that these training courses come as one of the fruits of joint cooperation between DICID and Qatar Scouts and Guides Association.

He pointed out that these courses are at the top of DICID's priorities and aim to train young people on the skills of volunteer work among youths and students towards others in the diversity of their cultures and affiliations.

He also pointed out that these courses seek to develop youth's abilities and their personal, scientific and practical skills, in addition to providing the opportunity for volunteers to express their opinions and ideas in various volunteer projects, and to acquire leadership skills for volunteer projects.
