DHE MAVELI DOHAYIL : A Mega Onam Celebration Set to Light Up Doha

DOHA: Onam celebrations in Qatar are getting a high-energy entertainment twist with Dhe Maveli Dohayil, a large-scale live event bringing together more than 20 artists and performers for one festive night in Doha.

Scheduled for August 28, 2026, at Infinity Night Club, Premium Strato Hotel on Old Airport Street, the event promises a colourful mix of Kerala traditions, live music, DJs, folk performances and powerful percussion. Doors open at 6pm, with the programme beginning from 7pm.

A Big Onam Night in Doha

Dhe Maveli Dohayil is being promoted as a major Onam celebration in Qatar, combining the familiar sights and sounds of the festival with a contemporary live-entertainment experience.

From Maveli and Pulikali to Onappattu, Nadan Pattu and Thiruvathira Pattu, the programme is designed to bring the spirit of Kerala's harvest festival to the heart of Doha.

More Than 20 Artists and Performers

The line-up includes Vinaita Sivakumar, a Tamil playback singer from India, along with DJ Fukru, known as a movie actor, Bigg Boss personality and social-media entertainer.

Masala Frequency Band, led by Qatar-based singer Shabin, will bring live music to the stage, while DJ Karthik is set to add a South Indian party atmosphere to the evening.

Traditional Beats Meet Modern Entertainment

The celebration will also feature Kaithola Nadan Pattu Sangham, Kanal Melam Samithi and Sreedev Krishna. Audiences can expect Chenda Melam, Shingari Melam, Pooram-style Melam, Panchari Melam and high-energy Thakil fusion.

Karadippattu, Kummatti Pattu, Vanchipattu and Maveli Pattu are also listed among the programme highlights, creating a show that mixes traditional Kerala performance styles with DJs, live bands and fusion entertainment.
