Within the framework of the Agreement, the fund will deliver across-the-board funding needed for QFA to implement a detailed plan for the transportation of Qatari fans delegation from the State of Qatar to the United States and Canada. All expenses are paid, including travel arrangements, flight tickets through official carrier Qatar Airways, Hotel and Local Transportation.
He was also met with remarks commending the agreement from Mr. Mansoor Mohammed Al Ansari Secretary General of Qatar Football Association;
“Through this, we would like to express my deep thanks to the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, for this fruitful cooperation, and their distinguished supportive role in covering the travel tickets for Qatari fans wishing to attend the national team matches at FIFA World Cup 2026. We wish them a safe journey and look forward to tremendous support from our fans at this world event. Without a doubt, this Fund support is an essential pillar to implement our operational plans in every area and the way we are planning to offer the best fan experience for Qatari fans during FIFA World Cup 2026.”
In particular, Mr Hassan Yousef Al Obaidly, Director of Programs at The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) said:
"This goes beyond your average supporters' trip and we are proud to be part of this initiative. It embodies a message of loyalty and hype for our national side on the world stage – the biggest sporting event going. We want to make sure that nothing gets in the way of any Qatari fans supporting Al Annabi and making Qatar's mark on the international stage.
It is expected that the initiative allowed about 1,000 individuals to participate. The delegation will feature supporters from Qatar, members of the football fans' association, media representatives, and families of the players. Its aim is to bolster national team support, media coverage and ensure a lively atmosphere that will move the squad towards attaining the best possible achievements at such a global event, God Willing.
The signing of this agreement is a clear indication of the pivotal role both DAAM and companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange play in promoting sports activities and sustaining the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Founded in 2010, DAAM has executed several successful projects and initiatives spread across cultural/social/sports/charitable sectors. As one of the main source of funds for the fund, donations from companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange remain vital to its activities and make them important partners in promoting community development.
