Air Algerie Resumes Nonstop Doha-Algiers Flights

Hamad International Airport

Doha, October 01, 2026 :Ā Hamad International Airport (HIA) has announced the resumption of Air Algerie’s scheduled nonstop flights between Doha and Algiers, expanding travel options between Qatar and Algeria and strengthening the airport’s international connectivity.

HIA said in a post on its X account that the return of Air Algerie’s service provides travelers with an additional nonstop option between the two capitals and further enhances Doha’s connections with international destinations.

With Air Algerie’s return, the number of partner airlines operating at Hamad International Airport has risen to 37, including Qatar Airways. Together, the airlines connect Doha with more than 160 destinations worldwide.

The Doha-Algiers service resumed following a suspension of approximately seven months, which was attributed to weather conditions and air safety considerations in the region.

Air Algerie first launched scheduled nonstop flights between Algiers and Doha in the summer of 2022, initially operating two flights per week.

The route is currently operating three flights per week, with the airline planning to increase the frequency to daily flights from October 25 in response to growing demand.

The Doha route is Air Algerie’s 45th international destination, further expanding the airline’s international network.

The resumption of the service is expected to support increased connectivity between Qatar and Algeria while contributing to tourism, business and economic exchanges between the two countries.

It also reinforces Hamad International Airport’s role as a major international aviation hub, providing passengers with expanded access to destinations across its global network.
