4 Industries where a digital business card can make a great impression

In the age of digitization, the conventional business card is being widely replaced by the digital business card. And I am sure this is going to be the next big thing in the corporate world considering the rising rates of Skype meetings and reduced need for physical meetings.

Apart from the convenience and accessibility, digital business cards also help you stand out amidst the crowd. My recommendation is every individual in the business world must have one, however, there are certain industries that cannot survive without it. Let me stroll you through the top 4 industries that MUST have a digital business card and why:

1. Banking

If you are a banker or a broker you will be dealing with other people’s money that will benefit both of you. In order to seal the deal with your clients, you certainly need to leave an excellent first impression. You can’t expect people to trust you with their hard-earned money if you are hesitant on under-confident. Appearance, communication and verbal behavior is the first thing. The next is to establish a contact with your digital business card, which is very well designed, professional and filters you from the other bankers.

A few years back, my suggestion would have been to present a paper business card just like everyone else, but today everyone is doing it. You want to stand out. So, when you are building your brand, especially as a banker or broker, it is important to stay careful, and reflect that you are the best in the business to manage their finances.

2. Graphic Designing

Well, if you are in the design industry, you need to be top-notch atleast in your own designs. If you are not, there’s no way you can win the deal. Mail or message a phenomenal design of your own digital business card to blow their minds and clients will flock around you automatically.

Design is your own playground. How can you expect people to bet on you if you can’t master your own adobe? So, if you are a graphic designer, see your digital business card as an opportunity to showcase your skills to your clients. Keep this in mind, no matter how vast and varied your portfolio is as a graphic designer, if you do not have a set of greatly designed and customized business cards, you can in no way turn the deal in your favour. This is the place you will have to prove to yourself.

3. Real Estate

This is another industry where trust plays a very crucial role. You can gorge onto this as an opportunity provided you know the tricks. It is very similar to the financial services of a banker or a broker, where your client needs to have confidence in you.

It is important to be expressive in this industry, in terms of your ideas and views to your audience, and this becomes all the easier with a well-designed digital business card. For the realtors, it is advisable that your card should be niche specific and must be exclusively designed for your industry. In other words, whether you are into commercial offerings or personal, home buying or selling or leasing office spaces, it must be specified in your digital business card.

4. Art

All of us atleast once in our life wanted to be artists, haven’t we? This industry is so vast and so competitive, that surviving in it means you need to stand out and stand apart from your counterparts. However, what’s more important is the public image you carry as a personality. After all, what’s an artist without a strong and positive brand image?

So how do you ensure that? Well, the answer is the same as it has been in the previous three points –Smart digital business cards. Thus, every time you have a meeting or an exhibition, a digital business card if designed well, will be enough to give your introduction to the common masses.

Lastly, people are undermining the power of digital business cards even after the widespread availability of Internet and the whole workplace shifting to remote teams. Remember, no one thought Google would be Google unless it got into each of our screens. So, before everyone sets their eyes on it, gorge onto this opportunity and make the best out of it.
