Maha Al Sulaiti, a creative designer and fashion authority, heads Qatar's M7 institute. She observes a growing wave of fashion designers entering Qatar's market.

“In 1998, Qatar's first design school, VCUarts Qatar, was established. Since then, we've seen many talented Qatari designers emerge”, she says.

Maryam Al Darwish

Qatari designer Maryam Al Darwish, VCUarts Qatar graduate, established her brand in 2015, offering ready-to-wear and abayas.

Lauren Michelle

Latino-American VCUarts Qatar grad Lauren Michelle came to Doha in 2012. She started her brand, Lorenaa Michelle, during university, beginning with a desert photoshoot for her first collection. Now, her business has grown, with a team of 50.

Zwara initiative

Graphic designer Aliya Alobaidly overcame challenges, using her last salary to fund her first collection. M7's Zwara Design Challenge connects local talents with global experts, encouraging creative fashion designs.

Talent isn't enough for designers to succeed. M7 equips them with business skills and support, like with Muna Al Sulaiti, preparing them for the global stage.

M7 and partners are making dreams real. Designers showcased at Qatar 2022 World Cup's finale. 'Qatar Fashion United CR Runway by Qatar Creates,' launched by Her Excellency Sheikha Mayassa Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, gained global media coverage.
