FIFA World Cup 2022
Aim of the public survey is to understand the community’s thoughts on possibilities of hosting football fans from around the world in their homes during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) has launched an online public survey for residents to get their feedback on hosting football fans during the 2022 World Cup.
A message on the SC website states: “Give us your vital viewpoints and help us to shape an exciting opportunity by taking a short survey. We want to understand our community’s thoughts on the possibility of hosting the world’s football fans in our homes during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Based upon the results of the survey, we may launch a new initiative: Host a Fan.
It could give every football fan a unique experience as they visit Qatar for key tournaments up to and including the FIFA World Cup 2022™. This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans to see the real Qatar, feel the warmth of its culture and make lasting friendships.
Staying in the homes of Qatar’s citizens and residents (with specific terms & conditions), fans would really experience our way of life. For members of our community, it could be a chance to play a direct role in creating FIFA World Cup™ history.
Please take the time to complete this survey of just 17 questions, which should take around five minutes to answer. Thank you.”
Although, no details or further information regarding the program is currently available, as the initiative is still under development, the SC survey seems to be a good idea considering that at least 1.5 million fans from around the world are expected to visit Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Hospitality has always been an integral part of Qatari culture and residents willing to host incoming fans during the games are requested to fill the survey, which is open for everyone.
