Residents were seen clicking pictures and videos of their first ride on Doha Metro

As Doha Metro Red Line South opens for public today, energized local people and expats could be seen at the Wakrah station anticipating for the doors to open for their first ride. Noisy cheers and applauding could be heard crosswise over as the train pulled in to the station. 

Mowasalat yesterday had declared exceptional arrangements for their Karwa taxis and furthermore free feeder transports for metro commuters. 

Addressing The Peninsula, one inhabitant at the station said that he is energized for this first trek. "I have left my vehicle outside and am hanging tight to drive to my office. I would joyfully take the administration every day if there is sufficient stopping accessible," he said. Another occupant was similarly cheerful and hanging tight for the opening as he was making a trip to his work place on Bankstreet. 

Occupants were seen clicking pictures and recordings of their first metro ride. 

Mowasalat to give last mile availability was giving metrolink feeder transports from stations, alongside Karwa taxis that gave administration at a level limited time charge of QR8 for metro suburbanites.
