Ramadan Crescent Moon will be born on April 23 at 5:27 am

Qatar Calendar House (QCH) announced today the onset of Holy Month of Ramadan of 1441 Hijri on April 23, 2020 (Thursday) at 5:27 am (Doha Time) 2:27 am (GMT).

Based on the exact calculations by astronomers, the crescent moon of the blessed month of Ramadan will be born on the above date.




According to QHC astronomer Dr. Bashir Marzouq, , it is impossible to see or monitor the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on Wednesday evening, with the naked eye or with astronomical devices in the skies of Qatar and other Arab countries, because the crescent of Ramadan for this year will not be born at sunset on the monitoring day of in the skies of Qatar, as well as in the skies of all Arab and Islamic countries.

The legal decision of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year remains within the competence of the Moon Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) in Qatar.

The QHC specialists added that the moon set in Qatar on Wednesday will be at 5:30pm, Doha local time, while the sun will set that day at 6:1pm, Doha local time as well.
