QTF Holds General Assembly

The Qatar Tennis, Squash, and Badminton Federation (QTF) held Monday its General Assembly, on the sidelines of the launch of the 29th Qatar ExxonMobil Open, which is organized by QTF at the stadiums of Khalifa International Complex with the participation of the world's top-ranked players.

The General Assembly was held under the chairmanship of HE President of QTF Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi and in the presence of all members.

Following the meeting, the Secretary-General of QTF Tariq Zainal said that it discussed several issues that would ensure the development of tennis in the State of Qatar.

 

He added that the meeting dealt with emphasizing the strategy to spread the culture of playing tennis among youth and organizing many local, Asian and international tournaments within the framework of the QTF leading role in supporting tennis in the region.

He explained that the meeting reviewed the latest preparations for hosting the Padel Tennis World Championship, which will be organized by the QTF for the first time in the Middle East region in mid-November.
